ABC Supply Co., Inc., joined in the recent commissioning ceremony of the USS Beloit (LCS 29), a Freedom-variant littoral combat ship. As an Admiral Level sponsor, ABC Supply’s donation played a crucial role in making this historic event a reality.
The USS Beloit (LCS 29) is the first commissioned naval ship named after Beloit, Wisconsin. This designation pays tribute to the Beloit community’s contributions to the U.S. Navy, including the supply of engines for many Navy ships and submarines. With this hometown connection, ABC Supply is thrilled to be part of the commissioning and to continue its long-standing commitment to backing those who have served our country.
“At ABC Supply, Beloit is more than just our headquarters — it’s home,” said ABC Supply CEO Keith Rozolis. “Supporting our nation’s heroes has always been part of who we are, and sharing that legacy with our Beloit community is truly something special.”
As part of a weeklong celebration honoring the ship, its crew, the community and its namesake city, the ceremony highlighted the ship’s early successes, future developments and milestones. Veterans from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Iraq War attended with their families, underscoring the legacy of honor, integrity and valor that will be upheld.
“Contributing to the commissioning of the USS Beloit, a ship that will serve our country and contribute to a safer, stronger future, is an honor,” said ABC Supply Chairman Diane Hendricks. “American Pride is a Core Value at ABC Supply, and we’re proud to be part of this event and celebrate the dedication of those who will serve aboard the USS Beloit.”
USS Beloit will be homeported at Naval Station Mayport, Florida. To learn more about how to celebrate our nation’s naval history and the dedicated individuals who will safeguard our freedoms, visit www.ussbeloit.org.
